Introduction

Auto Join Meeting ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps you automatically join Google Meet meetings at scheduled times. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

No personal identification data is collected
No browsing history is tracked or recorded
No analytics or telemetry data is gathered
No data is sent to external servers
No cookies are used for tracking purposes

Data Stored Locally

The Extension stores the following information locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage API:

Meeting names — labels you assign to your scheduled meetings
Google Meet links — the meeting URLs you provide
Scheduled date and time — when to auto-join each meeting
Repeat preferences — your chosen repeat frequency (daily, weekly, weekdays)

This data is stored entirely within your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to any external server or third party.

Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each used solely for its core functionality:

Alarms

Schedule timers to trigger auto-join at the meeting time you set.

Storage

Save your meeting schedule locally within the browser.

Tabs

Open the Google Meet link in a new tab at the scheduled time.

Scripting

Interact with the Google Meet page to disable mic/camera and click "Join".

Host Permissions

The Extension only accesses meet.google.com pages. It does not access, read, or modify any other websites. The access to Google Meet is strictly limited to:

Toggling the microphone and camera off before joining
Clicking the "Join now" button automatically
Dismissing any pre-join dialogs that may appear

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to any third parties. The Extension operates entirely offline (except for opening Google Meet URLs), and no data ever leaves your device.
